Project Overview

Fleet Compliance Platform is a comprehensive SaaS solution designed to help transport companies manage their vehicle fleets, ensure regulatory compliance, and reduce administrative overhead.

The platform serves over 50 transport companies managing more than 10,000 vehicles across the UK and Ireland, providing real-time visibility into fleet compliance status.

Key functionality includes automated MOT and tax expiry tracking, driver licence management, digital vehicle inspections, and comprehensive reporting for audits.

The Challenge

Transport companies were struggling to keep track of MOT dates, driver licence renewals, and vehicle inspections across large fleets. Missed compliance deadlines resulted in fines averaging £300 per incident and vehicles being taken off the road, causing significant business disruption and lost revenue.

Our Approach

We designed a multi-tenant architecture allowing each company to manage their fleet independently while sharing the same codebase. The system was built to scale horizontally, with Redis-backed job queues for processing automated alerts and background reporting tasks.

The Solution

A complete fleet management platform with automated email and SMS alerts sent 30, 14, and 7 days before expiry dates. The dashboard provides real-time compliance status with traffic-light indicators. Integration with DVLA APIs enables automatic MOT and tax status verification every 24 hours.
